Information You Enter
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies the result. Turlock Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those search terms on its own servers. If you send a message, we see what that message contains and use it to respond.
Routine Technical Logs
The hosting service records ordinary technical details such as IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and time stamps. Those details may be reviewed in aggregate to maintain the service and understand which Turlock directory pages are useful. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How the Information Is Used
The purposes are narrow: operate the reference, diagnose faults, measure traffic, and improve the pages. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual user profiles are not built from this information.
When a Link Leaves This Reference
Pages may point to Stanislaus County and California records portals, library collections, archives, or outside search tools. Once you follow one of those links, the destination's privacy policy controls what you submit there. Sponsored search results are also supplied by a separate company.
Who May Process It
Hosting and support providers may process server logs while keeping the service running. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. Disclosure occurs when valid legal process requires it, and not for unrelated purposes.
Security and Retention
The connection is encrypted, and logs are retained only for as long as the purposes described above require. Because Turlock Residents Directory has no accounts, it does not hold a password or user profile that could be exposed.
Visitors Younger Than 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor may have sent information, use the Contact page so the material can be reviewed and deleted.
California Privacy Choices
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, is found at Civil Code ยงยง1798.100 et seq. Depending on coverage and exceptions, a California consumer may have rights to know, delete, correct, limit certain sensitive-information uses, and opt out of sale or sharing. Turlock Residents Directory keeps very little, so a request usually concerns the contact mailbox or available server logs. Use the Contact page to ask.
Government records held by California, Stanislaus County, or the City of Turlock are controlled by their custodians. A request to this private reference does not erase a public record. A qualifying person seeking address confidentiality should review California's Safe at Home program.
Changes to This Policy
Revisions will be posted here. Continued use of Turlock Residents Directory after a revision indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
