Terms of Use

These terms set the conditions for using Turlock Residents Directory. Accessing or using the reference means you accept them. If you disagree, do not use it.

1. Nature of the Reference

Turlock Residents Directory is privately operated. It describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections connected with Turlock, California, and Stanislaus County. It does not host government records and has no affiliation with a public office, court, or records custodian.

2. Lawful Use Rules

Use the reference only for lawful, responsible research. Neither the pages nor anything reached through them may be used to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
  • Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Commit identity theft or fraud
  • Make FCRA-regulated decisions involving credit, employment, tenant, or insurance matters
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the site's content at scale
  • Interfere with the site's operation or security

3. No Consumer Reporting Function

Turlock Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Neither its content nor a result from a linked search tool is a consumer report. Nothing may be used to assess eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose regulated by the FCRA.

4. External Links and Services

County and state portals, library resources, archives, and sponsored search tools operate under their own terms and privacy practices. Turlock Residents Directory does not control their content, availability, charges, or handling of submitted information.

5. No Warranty

The reference is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. Accuracy, completeness, currentness, uninterrupted access, and the performance or results of a linked portal are not guaranteed.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of this reference or an outside resource, including a decision based on a record located through it.

7. Your Responsibility

You agree to indemnify and hold the operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorney fees, that arises from your misuse of the reference or breach of these terms.

8. Copyright and Reuse

The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a short, attributed excerpt are welcome. Republishing a full page or copying the material systematically is not permitted.

9. Revisions

An updated version may be posted here at any time. Continued use after a change signifies acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Access Restrictions

Access may be blocked or limited for a user who violates these terms or abuses the reference. The operators may take that step at their discretion and without advance notice.

11. California Governing Law

California law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Requests to a California public agency are governed by the California Public Records Act, Government Code §§7920.000-7931.000. That statute does not make this private reference a records custodian or require it to create a directory.

12. Severability

If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.

13. Questions
